The excitement is too much. The anticipation you could see in their eyes. It is the week of Independence Day and fireworks were going off all around us. The kids were busting at the seams to get light their own fireworks. Yes, by kids I also mean Jeremy. Last night after we went grocery shopping I promised if everyone was good we would get a few fireworks for them to light off that night.
Chalene, Jared and Cade are in town for the weekend so they came about 8:30, which is the perfect time to start lighting fireworks, and we started lighting off a few "small" fireworks.
The boys took turns lighting their chickens, frogs, tanks, parachutes, spinning crazy things. The sad thing is that I don't think anything topped the three of them playing with the snaps. You know the little balls in a box of sawdust that you throw on the ground. It never fails that the box that cost a quarter lasts longer than the one dollar firecracker.
Happy 4th.
If you are board at night come on over, we will be sure to have some fireworks action in the driveway. Remember safety first!!
