The Sunday after Thanksgiving Addi spent the day with Aunt Carrie and I was exhausted from staying up half the night looking for a puppy. We thought we had a puppy lined up for the kids, but something tragic happened. The entire liter died. It was horrible. Jeremy and I agreed to get the kids a puppy. It was not an easy decision but they finally they wore us down. We agreed and I thought we had a french bulldog from Springfield picked out but then the litter died. I knew I had to have a replacement before I could tell the kids and it was not going to go over easy. We had looked early on at a Bichion and I could not find any close, which means shipping, which is an entire different set of issues/problems. I did find a "designer"dog Northeast of KC. It was a Bichion/Shiz Su mix. Her name was Snow White and she was 14 weeks old and get this folks, potty trained. I figured they were fibbing on the potty training but come to find out, they were not! The name was ok with me and I knew Addi would approve so that worked also. It was prefect that Addi was not around because normal people cannot handle a 90 minute car ride of are we there yet every 2.5 seconds. We loaded up, told Luke on the way and were all so excited.
She is a cutie so it was no brainier. I was at home the next couple of days so that worked out great.
The only draw back is that she cannot handle being in the kennel at night. She sleeps with Luke and both of them love that. Addi is a bit sad Snow can't sleep with her but there are too many Barbie accessories for a puppy to be there and Addi would never sleep if she had something to entertain all night! This is the kid who barely needs any sleep at all!
So here she is, Snow White!! Actually she is pretty much called Snow at this point, Luke could not take the Snow White.
Everyone is so happy!
See her hands wrapped around the dog? If Addi had her way snow would never walk, she would be carrier everywhere!
This is in he car ride on the way home. See his hand under her mouth? The car made her tummy upset and she threw up all over Luke a couple of times. Feel bad for him, but it really made her love him!
