A Hunting Experience

This year Jeremy has a duck/goose lease in Osawatomie. It is a rather long story as to how that entire process took place so we will leave it at Jeremy has a lease, finally!!
In honor of actually have a place to build his own blind he took all of us and Hunter down to show us this fine spread. As you can see from the pcitures some of had differences on the temperature. The kids and Jeremy thought it was a nice day. I on the other hand was freezing. The kids had a wonderful time and are so excited to go again and again and again. Luke would like for Addi to stay the heck away but she is all in. Addi has gone two or three times this year. She would like to go again with PAPA Clay so we will see if the weather holds for her. Lucas loves to go every single chance he gets.
After a day of unsucessful hunting Jeremy had the kids put up a lot of decoys. In the process they decided to play a little hide and seek.

Here is Hunter being a wilderness man. He was going to move some logs.

Lucas is using his call and Addi is dancing along to it.
Ah, she tried to steal my hiding place.
So the face painting thing. Luke is all into it. That pretty much means the other kids were all over it that day also. I am not sure how much camo we need from a duck with an eye smaller then a pea but hey if ya wanna paint your face go for it. That is as long as it comes off with soap and water!
Nothing like a helping hand with your face paint.
People, this is it. This is the only heat you get in the blind. You sit in a rather nice plywood constructed blind with a bench and sides, floor and roof. I would also like to mention that they have covered the sides and roof with crap growing in the wild including pine trees, which I am amazingly allergic too. But, back to the lact of heat. This is it. If you are going dress warm cause this is all you get!!
Me and Hunter. He clearly did not understand it was cold out there! I have on like 3 layers and if I could of gotten my coat on over that sweatshirt I would of done it!
Here are the face painted people

Here is poor Jeremy. At the other end of the blind waiting and watching for ducks. Sadly, I mean very sadly that day no ducks showed their faces. It was a warm weather day if you ask Jermey and Luke and they say that is why we did not see much luck but I think it may of had something to do with all those little voices.

He is becoming a hunter man.

I think this is when Jeremy moved the truck back to hide it. I had zero control of the kids. As soon as they saw him they were all over him, 1,000 and twelve questions they had.

Hunter had such a great time. He loved all of it and wants to go again. Lucas would love to take him so if the weather is nice I think he will get to go at least one more time.
He was just determined to wear that hat. It was like Luke's and he was going to do all in his power to match him!
