Arcades and block party bash

Would a vacation be a vacation without a trip to the arcade? Thankfully our hotel had one inside it.

Every afternoon Hollywood Studios has a parade. You can even join in and dance during part of it.

Can't wait to see him and the Mrs. in Toy Story 3 next month

I did not get a picture of Addi and I doing the twist in the street but it was pretty fun.

Adventures around the park

There is so much to see and do around the park I am convinced we will never get it all done in one trip.
Lucas loves Star Wars, well I guess he really loves Clone Wars but I sort of see them as the same thing. Please, don't tell a Star Wars geek I think they are the same.
Outside the Star Wars adventure they put on a Jedi training class.

We got to experience the all new American Idol experience at Hollywood Studios. It was way cooler then I thought it would be!! Yeah, Brian you won!!!
Here is Addi enjoying American Idol.

Here we are taking in Beauty and the Beast. It is like a mini Broadway production of the movie. I am bias, because Belle is my favorite princess but it was a beautiful show!!

Addi wanted a pink dress like the dancing girls when we left.

We got to see Playhouse Disney.

It is cool if you are 3 if not, at least it is air conditioned!!

A few characters around the park

Chip n Dale

So this is off the Buzz light year ride. We took the same picture 2 years ago. I can't believe how much bigger they are!!

Hall of the Presidents. Lucas loves this show. Totally in love with this show. Outside the show they have portraits to resemble the ones in the White House. Last trip he wanted his picture in front of George Washington and this trip he was all about the Abe.

Eeyore and Tigger. At this point Addi still wanted nothing to do with characters up close

Spectro Magic

Magic Kingdom has the only night parade at Walt Disney World. It is called Spectro-Magic and I find it to be one of the most magical times ever. I think it is the one thing at Disney that reminds me of the trips from my childhood at Disneyland. There is something about seeing a parade in all lights that is just like the cherry on top.

Here is Addie Jo's balloon she just had to have.

The castle changes color at night. Sorry, some of these pictures are blurry.

I have never been able to get a picture of Cinderella in the parade when she is looking at me, arr

swim time and a show to remember

A very important componant of any trip for our family is appropriate swim time!! The kids love to swim. It helped that it was a hot trip so we all enjoyed some time to cool off!!

The pool at the resort was shaped like a fort. There were cannons and a sunkin pirate ship area. The kids really loved it!

Cinderella's Castle has a show on the front several times a day. We made sure we caught one so Addie could see Mickey and a few of her other friends.

Look at how into watching it she is. I tried to get her to leave but that only ticked her off. We watched every minute of the show!!

Magic Kingdom rides

Here are a few rides from Magic Kingdom.

No one ever looks really great after the tea cups stop spinning.

This is one of Luke's favorite rides. Speedway of tomorrow. They are mini cars and he is tall enough to drive them. Begged to make this our first ride, it was not but it was cute to see him get so excited when we finally made our way there.

Addie and I even made a trip around the track. She was a little upset she could not drive but once the wind hit her face she was good to go.

Disney fun

Magic Kingdom is an amazing place. There is a special moment around every corner. I learned on our last trip that you should not rush from ride to ride or attraction to attraction because you could miss some pretty amazing moments with your kids. Lucas talked about the talking trash can after our last trip. The talking trash can served as part of the inspiration for the Wall-E movie. That being said the talking trash can is cool, way cooler then the movie if you ask me. We were able to find it again this trip. Memorized the kids for a good 15 minutes. I know the pictures are weird, to some degree you have to see it to understand but it moves around and talks to you. Hey, girl in the blue shirt do you have some trash for me? Why did you put Cinderella on your shirt? How did you do that? If you see her will you tell her I need to talk to her?

A moving ball covered in water. Lucas did not even notice the star layouts on it until we pointed it out.

Is he worthy of the sword?
Guess not today?
I love how he put his foot up there and have it his all to get it out.

We got the kids a stroller and it makes things a lot easier, well until they get hot and start fighting in it, but it is still tiring to be at the parks all day. Here is Addie leaned up against a railing trying to take a quick nap.

Cinderella's Breakfast

The very first morning of our trip we had breakfast at Cinderella's castle. I have pictures of all of us with Cinderella but Disney took them and I have to scan them into the computer so you can look for those sometime next week!!
Addie insisted on having her picture taken with the Cinderella window. She did not love Cinderella in person but some how a stained glass image of her did seem like a wonderful photo op to Addie.

Cinderella invited a couple of friends to breakfast with her.
Here is Sleeping Beauty

Every prince and princess received a wishing star and the girls got magic wands and the boys swords. Yeah, we needed another sword. As you can see it was immediately put to good use by trying to cut one's wand in half.

A proud sword owner. Luke said this make the breakfast okay after all. That and two plates of egg did not hurt either.

Snow White.

So I totally goofed when Snow White came to our table. They had just announced Sleeping Beauty was also at breakfast and I asked Addie if I could take her picture with Sleeping Beauty. Snow White says, my lady I am Snow White. Oops, crap. I could feel the daggers from those dark eyes and fairest skin in the land!!

Here is Princess Ariel. Oops, I forgot to get Addie close in the picture. I think she is a little upset about that.

Here we are at our table. It is a beautiful castle. It was very hard for Addie to eat her breakfast. She kept looking at the princess and reminding us she was also a princess. She pretty much floated around the park the rest of the day.

A prince who thought the knight of armor was awesome.
